Shocking things discovered inside patients
Your body is a temple, but sometimes that temple can have ugly invaders.
At other times, people choose to put strange things inside their personal shrines.

Over the decade, Doctors from around the world have detected and removed an interesting and shocking object during surgery. Some, have even found substances growing inside.
1. Six-year-old British girl was recently rushed to the hospital after complaining about abdominal pain, she suffered for 3 continuous days and experienced severe vomiting. During her x-ray, Doctors found a large shadow like mass blocking her abdomen and causing dehydration. Once rushed to surgery, specialists removed a massive hairball weighing 4lbs and measuring up to 3ft long. Soon after she was diagnosed with trichotillomania or Rapunzel syndrome. A condition where patients feel the need to pull out their own hair (and sometimes eat it). Because humans cannot digest hair, it tends to accumulate over years and years until it finally causes a blockage that can turn fata.

2. Twenty-eight-year-old Rosemary Alvarez began to develop balance problems, difficulty swallowing, and numbness in her left arm. After being referred to a neurosurgeon, MRI revealed a mass on the front lobe of her brain stem that resembled a brain tumor. After saying what could possibly have been her goodbyes, Rosemary was rushed into surgery. However, during the procedure surgeons were shocked to find the mass was, in fact, a tapeworm that was slowly feasting on her brain. The worm was removed by minor medication, and she was soon back to normal.
Doctors are always around to remove foreign objects from our bodies, but every year after successful surgery doctors manage to leave things behind. Not on purpose believe it or not.

3. In 2008 a man returned to a hospital in England after 2 weeks of his operation complaining of constant and sever pain in his abdomen. After brief ultrasound doctors found a 10-inch retractor had been left behind from his operation. Doctors often count their tools before and after surgery, but it seems as though some of these doctors only counted after.

4. In 2006, 37-year-old Lee Foo was involved in an armed robbery. During the struggle, he was left majorly injured and was rushed to the hospital with broken bones and a stab wound in the skull. During his treatment, the stab wound was largely overlooked. After years of complaining about migraines to his doctors, and baffled to why his doctors finally took an X-ray that revealed a 4inch blade stuck inside his skull (for 4 years). It seemed that when Lee Foo was stabbed the knife split and the top half was left inside.
But what if the invaders to our bodies came from within?

5. SanjuBhagaat has teased his whole life for his big pregnant belly. for years he and his family wrote it off as a stubborn belly that no diet could get rid of. At the age of 36, Sanju woke up with difficulty breathing and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors suspected that his unusually inflated belly may have been due to a large tumor growing inside his body. As the procedure began and the first cut was made, gallons of fluid began to spill out of his body. When surgeons began to dig deeper they found a fully formed “creature” that had grown hands and feet with long nails. The doctors went on the remove this parasitic twin that had been living inside of him for 36 years. The twin that developed inside him had connected its own tissues to Sanju’s blood supply continuously growing over the years. Safe to say, he was actually pregnant.

6. In 2013 a 16-month baby girl in China was brought into the hospital in distress. After a physical examination, she was found to have fully sprouted dandelion in her ear. When asked, her parents said they did notice a seed falling into her ear but naturally didn’t think too much of it until their daughter displayed extreme discomfort.
Have you checked your ears recently to make sure nothing wiggled its way in there yet?
It seems like no matter what era we live in, there are always new ways to shock us.
